Boston Houghton Mifflin 1970 First Edition/First Printing Hard Cover N-Fine Very Good
A square solid tight clean veryyyyyyyyy carefully read copy. This copy has some foxing to the endpapers, front and back, the name of a previous owner neatly written on the FFEP. The 5.95 jacket is almost always the drawback to nice copies of this title. The jacket is not laminated, as issued, and has rubbing wear, edgewear, stress creases to all folds, several short tears. Still with all of the above a very nice copy of the author's first novel and the basis for the movie starring Jon Voight, Ned Beatty and Bert Reynolds. The movie was directed by John Boorman and nominated for best picture. Dickey produced the screenplay. Great book, great movie.

The jacket has some light rubbing wear,minor edgewear and an 1" closed tear at one of the folds. 114 pages,53 illustartions by the illustrator. This was obviously a Limited Trade Edition allthough the number of the limitation is not mentioned. This is copy #35321. Over-all a pretty nice copy of a nice book.
